Load
shedding
Load-shedding means the discontinuation of supply of
electricity. It occurs when generation of power is less than the demand and for
unplanned distribution of electricity. Now a day’s load-shedding is almost
daily affair. It creates many problems in the socio-economic development of a
country. There is hardly any area which is not affected by it. Houses, mills
and factories, shops, hospitals all fall a victim to it. The industrial
complexes stopped by it. It also disturbs the study of the students. In our
country the main cause of electricity is the insufficient production of
electricity. At present total production of electricity 8000 MW where the total
demand is 10,000 MW. Besides misuse of electricity and illegal connection are
also responsible for load shedding. Load shedding is a common incident in our
country but it cannot be allowed to be a regular routine. We should bear in
mind that electricity is our national asset. So, we must aware to use it. After
all, load-shedding affects the development of our country. So, the government
should establish more plants and power houses to solve this problem. Illegal
connection and system loss should be stopped so that the present condition of
load shedding can be improved for the welfare of the people. The eradication of load shedding is
